It’s award season again. At TriStar, that means carefully scrutinizing all of our projects from the previous year and submitting the most deserving to national publishing competitions.
We’ve had a lot of success over the years, racking up more than 60 awards since we began submitting two decades ago. That includes 11 special achievement awards for best-in-class work and recognition for a variety of projects that run the gamut from print to digital. Our editorial and design teams always set us apart, but we’ve also been recognized for our video production work.
In 2025, TriStar and two of our association partners — the American College of CHEST Physicians® and the American Society of Association Executives™ — won APEX Awards of Excellence for two of our top publications from 2024.
The CHEST 2024 Meeting Magazine was recognized for its design and layout with an Award of Excellence in the magazine/journal/tabloid category. The only other event publication recognized in the category was the Super Bowl LIX program — impressive company. The previous year, the CHEST 2023 Meeting Magazine won an APEX Grand Award, the competition’s highest honor, in the print media category. It was one of only four Grand Award winners in its category and the only event publication to receive the honor. That’s quite a two-year haul that spans the first two years of the publication. We think the CHEST 2025 Meeting Magazine is even better than the first two, so hopefully the streak continues this year.
Also in 2025, ASAE Daily Now won an APEX Award of Excellence in the meeting and event materials category. Daily Now is our most awarded publication, and also one of the most award-winning event publications out there. It has been recognized at least 13 times from multiple award programs since we first partnered with ASAE in 2006.

These awards aren’t just about TriStar, of course. Over the years, we’ve partnered with amazing organizations to produce award-winning work. Each time one of these collaborations is recognized, it provides independent validation that association media can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in publishing. And the recognition across print, digital, video, and design provides tangible proof that associations are innovating on every front.
TriStar is proud to innovate alongside our many association partners. We’ve invested heavily in cutting-edge digital platforms and tools that allow us to deliver content to association members wherever they consume it. We’ve also invested in people who bring new ideas through their deep editorial, digital, design, and sales expertise.
The awards are gratifying, but they’re never the goal. They’re reminders that when we partner with associations to tell their stories with clarity and creativity, the impact is felt far beyond the page or the screen. They also reinforce the foundational commitment we make to each of our association partners to deliver high-quality content to their members that is timely, accurate, and engaging.
So here’s to another 20+ years of award submissions. Win or lose, TriStar’s mission to elevate the association media channels of our valued partners will never waiver.
